SHINE YOUR LIGHT, BABY..

MESSAGE FOR YOU TODAY: SHINE YOUR LIGHT, NO MATTER HOW BRIGHT IT BURNS. This one is for the BURNERS, and the BURNEES.

Damn, The Big U has been talkative lately.

I’ve started a new morning routine, and it has been opening up channels for me like NEVVAAAHHHH EVAAHHH before. It includes breathwork- the Daily Practice from Helle Weston and the team at the o2 Awakening - and anyway, long story short, at the end of the practice, you ask the question, ‘What message is there for me today?’

Yesterday was one I have needed to hear many, many times in my life. Hands up if you feel the same way.... TRIGGER WARNING! 🔥

‘Shine your light, no matter how bright it burns’

So.....

You know when someone does something (like getting up at 5am everyday for a morning ritual, or running a marathon, or selling everything they own to pursue their passion of travelling and saving turtles, or maybe even wearing a different outfit than you’re used to, or sharing a bikini pic on social media), and you say (out loud or in your mind) things like, ‘YOU’RE CRAZY! Girl, what’re you THINKING?!’ ‘What about your job?! What about your family?!’ ‘What about your knees?!’ ‘Don’t you care what people think?!’ ‘Don’t you care that you can see cellulite?!?’ Etc.....

Or..

Maybe you find yourself speaking negatively about this person to others.

How insane this person is for doing something. How crazy they are for their actions. How obsessed they are, how ‘way too into it’ they are, how way over the top they’ve gone. How you’d NEVER do something like that........

But here’s the part you’re NOT saying.

‘She’s so crazy’..... I WISH I COULD DO THAT.
‘She’s so obsessed’.... IF ONLY I HAD THAT DISCIPLINE.
‘She doesn’t care what anyone else thinks’... I WISH I DIDN’T EITHER!
‘She obviously doesn’t care that she doesn’t have a six pack and no cellulite’ .... I WISH I LOVED MY BODY THAT MUCH TOO!

My soul sister Kathryn Ottobrino said it perfectly... ‘STOP JUDGING OTHERS WHEN THEY DO SOMETHING YOU WANT TO DO’.

When someone steps out of the box, don’t try and put them back in.
It takes A LOT of damn courage, bravery, fearlessness and HOURS AND HOURS AND HOURS of self talk for them to even take the first step.
So please, STOP SHAMING people who break the MOULD.

I GET IT! I really, really do! I’ve been here before, and I’m not proud! Seeing someone CHOOSING to do what their heart desires, DESPITE the circumstances/judgement/adversity can be incredibly triggering, if you’re not there yet!

If you WISH you were able to get over the fear of judgement, it can be HARD to see someone who has gotten over theirs!

If you WISH you had love for your body, it can be HARD to see someone who has love for theirs!

If you WISH you had discipline to achieve your goals, it can be HAAAARDDDDD to see someone working to achieve theirs!

Am I right?!

And instead of being like, ‘yo girl, you’re awesome, show me how’, your default is, ‘what the actual fark, who does she think she is, look at those things, why is she so weird’....

😟😟😟😟😟

The good news is, it’s NOT YOUR FAULT.
You’ve been brought up in a society that has told you, for your ENTIRE LIFE, that there is a FINITE source of opportunities, that there is a mega limited amount of ‘good jobs’ or ‘good men’ or ‘good bodies’ or ‘good lives’ and if someone else has one, it means there is less for you.

So let me tell you right now - THAT IS TOTAL AND UTTER BULL.

Here’s the real facts;

💫There is ALWAYS more than enough of EVERY resource to go around to EVERY PERSON, and THEN SOME
💫 Money, men, good jobs and good lives are not limited by numbers - they are limited by your mindset!
💫 Everything that ANYONE ELSE ever HAS, DOES, or EXPERIENCES - YOU CAN TOO!
💫 The fact that someone else achieves or recieves something that you’d LOVE, simply means that it is POSSIBLE for YOU TOO!

So.........

Instead of bashing homie (to her face, behind her back, or in your mind), FEEL GOOD for her. You know what?! Even TELL her, how nice her butt looks in that bikini pic, or how inspiring you think her marathon running is, or how epic her adventure to save the turtles is. You get my point.

Not only do you TRULY (probably more than you know) Help someone by shining a light on their greatness (which is 99.9% really scary and challenging to get to!), but you put yourself into the frequency to receive that ‘thing’ yourself.

NOW - to the SHINY LIGHT BURNERS - the crazy ones, the obsessed ones, the ones who have FOUGHT to be where they are, the ones who have said GOODBYE to fears of judgement, ridicule, and failure - who NO LONGER live inside the BOX OF SOCIETAL CONFIRM ......

DON’T YOU DARE STOP SHINING.
DON’T YOU DARE STOP SPEAKING YOUR TRUTH.
DON’T YOU DARE STOP PURSUING WHAT SETS YOUR HEART ON FIRE.

There will NEVER be people who don’t judge you, who don’t think you’re weird, who don’t say negative things. Like obviously don’t be a dick, but this is a universal law, you will always have polarity.

But..... it doesn’t mean that you have to LISTEN.

You’ve fought hard to be where you are, you’ve tended to the tiny ember we ALL have within us, and nurtured it into the magnificent flame that it is NOW.

Don’t ever let anyone take that away from you.

That’s all for now, folks.

Time to shine.

Love, light, and a High Vibe High Five,
J xx
